This one goes with yesterday’s Leland poster in the same way the Irene and Matt posters go together. Also got a few more familiar figures in the background, so if you’ve seen the movie or have been keeping track of who’s who, you might recognize a few folks.

I really hope people dug these, maybe down the road we’ll try something completely different. See you then.

This one and the “Irene” poster fit together pretty well. All the posters in this series are set during the Entropy All-Stars after-party scene, so they’re all supposed to fit pretty well together, but these first two feel much more directly linked.

Three more coming up for this series, next one’s tomorrow. Hope you’re liking these, they’ve been fun to make.

Last time we checked in, The Roomies was finally available for sale right here on DVD and over yonder as a digital download. Since releasing the film, I’ve shifted my focus toward completing the screenplay for the next feature, renovating our Mongrel Studios homepage and developing some more upcoming media projects.

We really appreciate all the nice comments we’ve gotten from folks who’ve seen the movie. I don’t think I posted about this before but if you’re in Portland and would like to rent The Roomies, you’re in luck – Movie Madness is the only video store in the world currently where you can rent the DVD. Even better, it’s available under their local films deal, so you can rent it free along with any other rental. So that’s pretty neat.

Lately I’ve been trying to do more art for my day-job at Truthout and Mongrel as well. I got on this big Saul Bass kick awhile back and started working in a more simplified, cut-out style for my Truthout stuff (seen here on the Truthout flickr, under my day-jobbin’ name). I’ve been working with Photoshop since high school and it’s only this year that I finally figured out how to use the pen tool properly, so I’ve been making up for lost time.

I’d always intended on going back and doing some more posters for The Roomies at some point, but other things usually took precedent over adding to the five perfectly good posters we already have. That situation hasn’t necessarily changed, but my willingness to use art as a means of procrastination has increased, so here we are.

Here’s the first in a series of character posters I’ve been working on for The Roomies. This one features Irene, as played by Katie Mentesana:

So that wraps up our lost DVD interviews for now. We did trim quite a bit out of the fourteen interviews that were conducted so I still might get some more of that cut together and posted up here in the future. In the meantime, I hope these have been fun.

In other news, The Roomies is now available on DVD and digital download at Film Baby! Although it’s still cheaper to get the DVDs right from us, you can download the movie from Film Baby now for $9.99.

It’s nice having that option now available. We’re still working on getting the movie available at a couple of other online venues, so we’ll keep you posted as things develop. More when there’s more.

We’ve got one more interview coming up. It’s the longest one we had to cut from an actor with the least amount of lines. Check back soon for that and more as we keep pouring all our surplus Roomies special features into the blog.
